The final Conference of the project Adri.Eur.O.P. implemented by the Croatian partners took place from 31st September till 1st October 2008 in Rovinj, the Region of Istria (Croatia). The intention was to group political and technical personal of the AE members regions in order to discuss and proactively take part in the future projects of the association that are going to candidate to the IPA Adriatic – Cross boarder cooperation program. The conference was organized in form of concise presentations and a series of the round tables dedicated to the priorities individuated by the 5 thematic Commissions. The IV Assembly meeting of the Adriatic Euroregion took place on the 26th September 2008 in Ferrara, The Emilia Romagna region (IT). During the Adriatic Euroregion Assembly the Supervisory Board and the Commission for the Institutional Questions took place. More information are available in the section events.

The next technical meeting of the Commission for transport and infrastructure took place on the 11th September 2008 in Rijeka (Croatia). This meetings objective was to prepare the suggested projects to candidate for the IPA Adriatic program – Adriatic Cross boarder cooperation that is foreseen for the end of the 2008. The Veneto Region hosted in Rovigo, at the Accademia dei Concordi, on 10th September 2008, the Final conference of the project Adri.Eur.O.P, Interreg III A Italia Adriatico/NPPA, during which the outputs and results of the project was presented. The Conference also represented a relevant opportunity to analyze prospects of future and sustainable cooperation in the Adriatic area. More information’s are available in the section events.

Introduction

Dear Friends of the Adriatic,
We take the opportunity to inform you that the opening of the Foundation Conference on the Adriatic Euroregion took place on 30 June 2006 at the House of Armed Forces of the Republic of Croatia in Pula.
This is an important occasion for the Adriatic, which is not only a great step towards the achievement of the common aim, in other words towards the institutional collaboration on the Adriatic, but also to the development of this precious area of Europe.
